Volunteering

We are very proud of our volunteers who give their time so selflessly to provide support to our patients, staff and visitors. They come from all walks of life, and from youngest to oldest, they make valuable contributions to enhance the services we provide to our patients.

There are lots of reasons why people choose to become a volunteer: to help others, learn new skills, make new friends, improve employment prospects, increase confidence, and become involved in the local community. Over the years, there has been a significant increase in the number of young people who volunteer, however there continues to be a steady number of enquiries received from retired people too, resulting in a healthy mix of skills and experience among our volunteers. The one thing our volunteers have in common, is the desire to make a difference, and they do!
